LYOCELL

How to take care of this fabric

Lyocell (also known as Tencel) is a natural material, made from wood cellulose or pulp, using an innovative spinning process. This fabric is know for being sustainable, durable and wrinkle-resistant. It is susceptible to mildew. Lyocell fabric is great for sensitive skin, as it keeps the skin dry and the smooth surface of the fibers is soft and supple to the touch. Lyocell is a biodegradable product, its manufacture does not produce by-products harmful to health or the planet, while cellulose, its main ingredient, is obtained from well-managed forests.

  1. Washing

Hand washing is always the best and safest method for washing your lyocell items.

Sink the item with softener with cool water. Submerge the item and gently agitate the water with your hands to evenly distribute soap. Soak for up to 30 minutes.

Rinse well by running cool water through the item until the water is no longer soapy.

Do not wring. Instead, press the water out of the item.

  1. Drying

Do not put a lyocell piece of clothing in the dryer!

  1. Ironing

Although Lyocell is wrinkle-resistant, it can wrinkle anyway. When this happens, steam it a little bit and you’re good to go. Ironing Lyocell is quite simple, just hover over the item, using the steam setting.

  1. Store

Hang your items and always store them clean.
